TotalEnergies in Lebanon Introduces Innovative 3D Pedestrian Crossings Near Notre Dame des Anges, Badaro

As part of its commitment to safer roads, TotalEnergies in Lebanon rehabilitated an intersection near the school, Notre Dame des Anges, in the busy residential neighborhood of Badaro. This initiative underlines the company commitment to road safety and introduces the first-ever 3D pedestrian crossings in Lebanon, aiming at providing safer roads for pedestrians commuting in Badaro.

This project answers the call of the students of Notre Dame des Anges, Badaro, who voiced their concerns regarding the absence of safe pedestrian crossings in the vicinity of their school. Recognizing the importance of their voices and acknowledging the need for safer infrastructure, TotalEnergies in Lebanon took the initiative to address these concerns.

The rehabilitation project introduces an innovative solution in the form of 3D pedestrian crossings that employ optical illusions to create the illusion of three-dimensional objects, effectively grabbing the attention of motorists and urging them to slow down, thus enhancing safety for pedestrians.
