As an integral part of the safety commitment of TotalEnergies in Lebanon, road safety is a key pillar of its societal activities.
Knowing that the consequences of road accidents can stop local development, TotalEnergies in Lebanon is willing to be an active player in the fight against road hazards by working to deploy road safety awareness programs among its employees and the general public.
2024
Our affiliate launched, in 2024, the VIA Ambassadors of Safe Mobility Program, with the collaboration of the Lebanese International Road Safety Academy (LIRSA). This program under the theme of safe mobility, aimed at creating awareness among school students from ten schools across the country.
Twenty student ambassadors were selected at each of the ten participating schools to undergo a special program, enabling them to develop their own safe mobility awareness. These ambassadors were required to propose innovative ways to drive road safety awareness amongst their peers and within their community, reaching more than 5,000 persons.

2022-2023
Previously, in 2022 and 2023, under the same VIA Program, our affiliate influenced the behavior of more than 5,300 school students from 33 schools across the country, about road safety. VIA targets young people to bring safe mobility to their attention.
2013-2016
We believe in the collaboration between the private sector, the public sector and NGOs to promote significant change in road safety. Young people, being the drivers of tomorrow, are a prime target for us through our awareness campaigns on road safety - On the Road for Your Safety - deployed among 14,000 students in Lebanese schools spread throughout the country.

Defensive Driving Training to 75 School Bus Drivers
Part of our commitment to road safety, and in collaboration with the Lebanese International Road Safety Academy (LIRSA), we trained, in 2024, 75 school bus drivers across three schools. The training enhanced the knowhow of the school bus drivers when it comes to defensive driving techniques, hazard identification, and road safety protocols to ensure the safety of children’s journey to and from school.

As part of its commitment to road safety, TotalEnergies in Lebanon rehabilitated an intersection near the school Notre Dame des Anges – Badaro.
